About Us

Rooted in Tradition, Built with Passion

Lara Boot Company began with a dream and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship. Our founder, Andres Lara, grew up in South Texas, where cowboy boots were more than just footwear — they were a symbol of heritage, pride, and identity. Though a great pair was often out of reach growing up, the love for them never faded.

In the early days of the pandemic, that lifelong passion took shape. What started as a personal pursuit quickly grew into a mission: to bring high-quality, custom-fitted cowboy boots and hats to folks who value tradition, authenticity, and style.

Now based in Epping, New Hampshire, Lara Boot Company has become a destination for those seeking premium Western wear with personalized service. Whether you’re after a one-of-a-kind pair of boots, a perfectly shaped hat, or just want to stop in and talk shop, we’re here for you.

We proudly carry Rios of Mercedes brands, including Anderson BeanTop HandHorsepower, and Macie Bean — all known for their quality craftsmanship and timeless style. On the hat side, we support small, family-owned manufacturers based in Texas, offering premium options from Biggar Hats and Atwood Hats.

From rodeos and music festivals to weddings and private events, we bring the Lara Boot Company experience wherever it’s needed. We’re not just a shop — we’re a family-run, veteran-owned business built on values that last.

The Art of Customization

Andres’ passion for custom boots began when he was 23, after a personal experience that introduced him to the comfort and perfect fit of custom-made boots. That moment sparked a lifelong fascination with boots, pushing him to explore the balance between traditional craftsmanship and mass-produced alternatives. His journey into boot making was shaped by a valuable piece of advice from Armando Rios, a skilled boot maker from Raymondville, Texas, who suggested starting with repair work as a foundation. Taking this to heart, Andres interned with a local cobbler in Manchester, where he gained hands-on experience in both boot repair and construction.

The Craftsmanship Journey

Andres then took a big step in his journey by attending a two-week “Boot Camp” seminar just outside of Dallas. The experience was both challenging and rewarding, giving him the chance to dive deep into the craft of boot making. During this hands-on training, he refined his skills and techniques, ultimately creating several pairs of custom boots, each taking 40 to 60 hours to complete. Today, Lara Boot Company offers these beautifully crafted boots, starting at $1,500, with each pair tailored to perfection using precise measurements and artisan methods.
